About Friederike Zelke
OpenSource Evangelist and Co-Founder of Sustainical
We can unlock unimaginable human and technological potential by shifting to a potential-driven economy and culture. But I still see, both from one of my previous roles as Editor-in-Chief of Cloud Report, where I looked in depth at the technology, processes and mindset of cloud computing, and across all industries, that there is a critical lack of sustainable thinking and action.
With sustainical, we are now championing a radically ethical innovation business that prioritizes the wellbeing of individuals, communities and the environment. We want to create sustainable, equitable and thriving systems and services based on a radically ethical innovation framework for sustainability.
As a passionate science worker since my early years at school I do care personally very much about sustainability. It improves the quality of our lives, protects our ecosystem and preserves natural resources for future generations. While most people associate sustainability only with the environment, our team sees sustainability in various other contexts, including green technological and economic development, social responsibility, knowledge sharing, to name a few. Going green and sustainable is not only beneficial for the company, it also maximizes the benefits for all in the long-term.
Therefore I will build a strong, open community of sustainable digital organizations, businesses, communities, initiatives and foundations to unlock the full potential of sustainable digitalization.
